-I jammed with Peter and this guy Grayson on Sunday. Peter Plays drums and Grayson plays bass. It went pretty well I guess, it was good fun. I had trouble keeping up with certain riffs, plus the fact that Peter's drumming is crazy as hell. That's because he's good though. I have trouble playing rhythm guitar, not so much for technical reasons as...I'm opposed to it. The drums and the bass are the rhythm section, not the electric guitar, it would be dumb to have three people playing the same thing for too long...I mean a little bit is normal, but I can't stand 3 instruments droning the same few chords and beats over and over. so...I was all over the place. But it did fit with the music, it was just more free and expressive. My style is like...the most detached it can be from the rest of the music, but it's still connected. Anyway, it was fun, though I think Peter was looking for something different.
-My gym class is trying to brainwash me (you aren't fooling anybody calling it PE). The book puts all this stuff into your head about setting goals and having a reward system and all that bullshit. If I'm the one that makes the rules, I can say "screw this, I'll just take the reward now". Goals are bad. they're all "in order to" do something else. When do you do anything just for the sake doing it? little 30 second moments of achievement after days of toil...and then you just set more! It ought to be more leisurely.
-I didn't sleep a minute last night cuz I was writing a paper on Plato, and then I ran 4 times around Henson today, on no sleep and no food. It wasn't too bad though. I've been living off wraps from wawa for the past few days. They're just so damn good, and I'm too lazy to go to wal-mart and buy food.
-My political science professor recommended that everybody watch the Daily Show, and asked if anybody watches it regularly. I was either the only one, or one of the few. I didn't see any other hands. How can you not love it, it's the best show on tv!
-Miller's introducing the concept of the sublime. The ocean is beautiful, but mountains are sublime. Awesome.

It reminds me of DRS one day saying, "I shouldn't have to brush my teeth every day." Well yes it would be nice but the fact of the current situation is that you must, in order to keep a healthy set of teeth.

I call things out for what they really are. These things are what I think are right. What I think should be done. I don't try to pawn it off on some high power of knowledge. Indeed this is selfish, these are things I want. But perhaps the things I want can also be what others want? So in the end those who desire these things join together to do that common goal. Those damn comformists. Haha.
Perhaps I have been thoughtful and created a stability that holds vast numbers and will stand the test of time. Though may be that is just so who ever and where ever they are in life, my ancestors can have a foot hold. Mwhaha.

I find that when everyone starts getting steeped in Philosophy they rationalize their idea but they really never think it through. Seems to me there is a lot of talk and less doing.

I would never just blindly do something. There is always reason behind it. My reason of course.
You take too many absolutes. Yes it is relativism. At its core so many things are relative to a given situation. I believe by realizing that there is no set rule of the universe to govern the life of man it causes you to think why you would want to do things a certain way. That intern causes you to create something from the inside and out instead of just seeing something at it's surface. Also it helps you to understand the workings of others different from you. By knowing there is no absolute you can search where these difference spring from. Then you can understand other people and deal with them properly.
